for ex: I battle anxiety, my nerves are shot & I'm constantly in my own head w/ negative ideas. so when I started working with crystals, I knew I needed something to combat alllll of that, which is why my v first crystal was amethyst. (pictured here.)
amethyst is considered the "stone of spirit."
its properties help w/ emotional issues, things like: anxiety, stress, balance & peace.

it also heightens people's ability to meditate and stay calm.
this 'lil gem is a -must- in any household and workspace because let's be honest, that's where most of our stress & tension lies. at home, my amethyst hangs out btwn the living room or bedroom, depending on mine & boyfriend's moods...and I have a small chunk I keep on my desk at work.
think of this crystal as the queen of zennnn, and we all need as much of that energy as possible with the full moon and mercury retrograde tomorrow. yes, you read that right...a full moon -AND- mercury retrograde will occur simultaneously on the same day. & get this, it's a blood moon: when a lunar eclipse occurs during a full moon & it's here to f*%k with structure and stability.
we need prepare yourselves for this astrological shitstorm, bbys! & here's how...
5 ways to keep cool during the
mercury retrograde + blood moon combo:
mercury retrograde + blood moon combo:
1. find patience. anything that can go wrong will definitely go wrong with mercury in retrograde and we've got 3wks of this sh!t, so rather than spinning over things you can't control, roll w/ it.
2. think before you speak. emotions will be running highhh & so will be the need to talk about 'em. chances are, whatever you say will come out wrong & aggressive. take time to step back & really consider the words about to come out of your mouth.
3. plan ahead. again, anything & everything goes wrong when mercury's in retrograde—technology stops working, unexplainable traffic jams start, sh!t goes missing...so make a backup plan, consider all possible outcomes for w/e you're doing.
4. OD on what makes you happy (& healthy). no, this does not mean slug an entire bottle of wine; this means lean whatever or whoever keeps your vibes high af. work out hard, meditate, charge your crystals, journal, date night w/ your S.O., go out w/ your girls, etc etc.
5. remember you're in control. while I find myself blaming mercury for everything, I'm advising you (& myself, obvi) not to. just because energies are shifting doesn't mean you're allowed to suck & lose control of your life. take this time to remember you control your circumstances, you control your emotions & you control all outcomes.
