TREND ALERT: HOOPS + MY CURRENT FAVES

I've never really been into hoops...or statement earrings for that matter.
stack my wrists w/ bracelets & layer my neck w/ necklaces but earrings?
they're uncomfortable, bulky & hurt my ears.

while I still somewhat feel the same way about hoops, I'm finding more of a tolerance for them as of late. I've always wore studs, but now I want to go bigger & better. I think it has to do with (finally) having long hair. I bought these silver bbys from urban outfitters for a music festival and they've quickly become a regular in my accessory rotation.

hoops are essential in most wardrobes this summer. just imagine: your cute 'lil linen dress with an oversized, acrylic drop, or a tee & short combo w/ a standout metallic pair 😏plus, you can find 'em anywhere! besides these, I've gotten some goodies from free people and francesca'smildly random, I know but their merchandise is really great quality. can't share the free people ones w/ you because they're sold out, you can shop the francesca's ones here.

my ears are somewhat sensitive, so I need better metals. tbh, I can't stand to wear some of my earrings for more than 6-8hrs & I can't buy into the "beauty in pain" thing. (was that tmi from a #fashionblogger? isn't that what this whole thing's about...honesty?)

now, here are some for -you- to choose from
recommended by yours truly. x

  1. I'm the opposite! I wear more studs and fewer hoops now because I have short hair now, lol. I agree that hoops go better with long hair!

    1. I totally get that! but, depending on who you ask, they'll tell you that short hair is perfect for a bigger, statement earring. x
