A GOOD #OOTD = A GOOD WORK OUT

pre-shoot: I ran 2mi & then biked another 2mi.

to say this is something I normally do would be a lie, but as of late, I've had this drive to be as active as possible. I think it's because I'm starting to see the toll that some food, sweets and alcohol have on my body from more mature eyes. my diet isn't too badI eat lean meats, lots of fresh fruits & veggies and try to moderate my carb/sugar intake as much as possible...but I realize the difference in not only my physique, but my mentality too when I over indulge in the bad stuff.

I've learned that for me personally, implementing a strict diet & work out routine is almost self-destructive. I start to obsess and criticize myself more than I should, and eventually, I exhaust myself more mentally than I do physically & what's more counterproductive than that?

in order to 'live my best life,' I've started finding time to move and sweat for at least 20mins a day.
(I once read that kate hudson lives by this same rule & we all know what she looks like, so.)

for me, it's almost like I trick myself into wanting to work out for a short time & then once I get going, I end up exercising for twice as long as I told myself I would! top this off w/ awesome work out attire and you better believeee I'll get a good sweat in. 💪💦

  3. That's so smart! I've been trying to be as active as possible. What helps me is to have a schedule, but I let it be flexible. So if there is one day where I'm really feeling crappy, I tell myself just 10 minutes and if that's all I can do then good, but if I'm feeling it then I'll do the rest of my workout. Keep up the good work girl!!!

    1. work & the stress levels there definitely effect my work out schedule! I've found that when that time comes, I just need to deal & get back on my active track when work slows down again. x

  8. Love your mentality - a super strict diet and workout routine makes me end up hating it so much I don't stick with it. As long as I balance everything out, it works! Sometime I might have to trick myself into going to the gym though haha

    1. we're two in the same then! I'd love to hear what your gym tricking tips are because as of now, I work out locally - I'm not big into the gym, and that's mainly just because I can't find the motivation to want to go. #thestruggle x
