#LOVINGLATELY: HAIR TEXTURIZERS + SHEET MASKS

two things I can't live without:
1. hair texturizing spray
2. sheet masks

I use a texturing spray every morning & I wear sheet masks as often as life lets me, which I'll admit is not as frequently as I'd like. it's not every day that I have 10-20mins to sit w/ a mask full of serum on my face peacefully.

I'm all about "naturally messy" hair, so I depend on texturizing and/or finishing sprays. I was enough enough to receive bumble & bumble's dryspun finish spray (c/o influenster), and tbh, I have mixed feelings about it. while the spray did provide the advertised "airy" texture, it didn't hold throughout the day. so, I'll consider this a great hair refresh product to keep in my purse, but not depend on for all-day wear.

& now for the main event: sheet masks. I cannot have enough of 'em! I'm a serial sheet mask buyer, no thx to one of my girlfriends who introduced me to them when we lived together. I found this set at my local marshall's that will cater to my skin's -ever- need for the next month or so.

as lame as it may sound, when I do my sheet masks, I'm able to find a sense of calm as if I'm @ an actual spa. just something about the process helps me relax, so if you weren't already sold on the benefits sheet masks bring your skin, maybe this will help.

other things i’m #lovinglately:

+ material girl, mystical world - I found this book browsing barnes & noble w/o any prior recommendation and am so into it. it's a modern take on a spiritual, mindful, center lifestyle written be a used-to-be fashion journalist, & it talks about everything from tarot cards and crystals to meditation and astrology.

+ statement chokers, esp. ones w/ stars - imo, the bolder the choker, the better. the trend's been around for so long, it's kind of getting stale so shake things up a bit! (& let's be honest, we're allll loving stars rn.)

+ bobbi brown's bronzer - sad to admit it but for me, it's time to start using bronzer again. this is my go-to because it's matte and glitter/shimmer-free which are two musts for my oily skin.

+ mario badescu's botanical exfoliating scrub - two words: game. changer. this scrub helps remove dead skin so it can be restored and with that, your skin becomes softer & brighter. my fave mario product & we all know I use tons of 'em. (recommended for all skin types, btw!)

+ mac's 'midmauve' lustre lipstick - as if I don't have enough neutral lipsticks, I had to go & add one more to the collection. there's really nothing more I have to say other than you can never have too many tonal lippys!

  7. I never got on with sheet masks. They slide off my face and I just find them more work than they're worth. I'd rather use a mask I apply myself.
